Godrej Consumer Products Limited — Important, 10-03-2025: Commencement of commercial production/operations

Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL) has inaugurated a new integrated greenfield manufacturing facility in Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu, marking a significant step in its production capabilities. This strategically located plant, spread over 27 acres, commenced operations following a notable investment of approximately INR 515 crore. Expected to generate a turnover of INR 1,500 crore when fully operational, the facility will produce leading brands such as Cinthol and Godrej No.1.

With a strong emphasis on inclusivity, the plant aims to employ over 1,000 individuals, prioritizing women, LGBTQIA+, and people with disabilities. The facility is also designed with state-of-the-art automation, operating 2X to 4X faster than previous production lines. This initiative not only reinforces GCPL's commitment to sustainability and innovation but also positions the company for future growth, making it a pivotal element in its operational strategy.
