SPML Infra has signed a contract with the Water Resource Department of Hazaribagh for the Konar Irrigation Project, valued at ₹617.98 crore (approximately USD 70.90 million). This major initiative aims to enhance irrigation infrastructure across 12,599.43 hectares of agricultural land in Jharkhand, specifically in the Bisnugarh, Nawadih, and Dumri blocks. The scope includes the reconstruction and strengthening of canals and associated systems, with a focus on sustainable practices. A 10-year post-construction phase for Operation, Maintenance, and Management (O&M) is also part of the agreement, ensuring the project's longevity and efficiency. This development is expected to significantly boost agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods of local farmers, reflecting the company's commitment to sustainable water management solutions in the region.
