Consolidated sales for February 2025 showcase robust performance in various segments, particularly for stainless steel and pig iron. Stainless steel sales reached 8,552 MT, marking a 110% increase year-over-year, with average realisation improving by 10% to ₹129,227 per MT. Although there was a 5% decline in month-over-month volumes, realisations rose by 3%.
Aluminium foil sales also saw a 23% YoY increase in volume at 1,686 MT, with average realisation up 13% at ₹351,778 per MT. However, sales declined by 14% from January, despite a 3% rise in realisations.
Pig iron volumes surged 80.53% year-on-year to 25,781 MT. Conversely, carbon steel sales dipped 5% from the previous year and 17.74% month-over-month, whilst average realisations remained stable. Overall, Shyam Metalics is well-positioned, but investors should watch closely for trends in recovery across the different segments, noting potential risks in fluctuating sales volumes and market dynamics.
