Power Grid Corporation of India Limited — Important, 06-03-2025: General Updates

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has been declared the successful bidder under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) framework to establish an inter-state transmission system for the “Transmission System Strengthening at Kurnool-III PS for Integration of Additional RE Generation Projects.” This project will involve augmenting the transformation capacity at the existing Kurnool-III substation and performing extension works at the Chittoor substation, along with constructing a 765kV D/C transmission line, all located in Andhra Pradesh. The Letter of Intent has been received, marking a significant step forward in enhancing transmission capabilities and supporting renewable energy integration in the region.
