Kalyani Powertrain, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bharat Forge, has entered into a technology licensing agreement with Compal Electronics to manufacture X86 platform servers in India. This collaboration aims to align with the Indian government's "Make in India" initiative, enhancing local production and reducing import dependence. Compal will provide technological support covering production, assembly, testing, and sales. This partnership is expected to boost India's manufacturing sector, particularly in AI, cloud computing, and data processing, enabling the development of high-performance, cost-efficient server solutions. The electronic division of Kalyani Powertrain already launched Made in India servers from its advanced manufacturing facility in Pune in February 2025, which is anticipated to stimulate local business and drive significant contributions to the region’s manufacturing capabilities.
