Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has been declared the successful bidder for three projects under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) to establish an Inter-State Transmission System on a Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) basis. The projects include augmentation of the transformation capacity at the ongoing Sirohi substation in Rajasthan for power evacuation from the Rajasthan REZ Phase-V, ICT augmentation at the Banaskantha (Raghanesda) PS in Gujarat, and the establishment of a new pooling sub-station in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, along with necessary transmission lines in both Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. The Letter of Intent for these projects was received on March 3, 2025.
