Domestic sales figures for February 2025 show a decline in the M&HCV trucks segment, which decreased by 3% year-on-year to 8,368 units. The cumulative sales for this category also fell by 7% to 80,658 units compared to the previous year. However, M&HCV bus sales saw a significant increase of 23%, totaling 1,742 units for the month and an 18% rise in cumulative sales to 18,053 units.
Overall, total vehicle sales in February decreased by 4% to 15,879 units. When factoring in exports, total vehicle sales increased marginally by 2%, with 17,903 units sold in February. The LCV segment reported a 5% increase in monthly sales, culminating in a cumulative figure down by just 1%.
Despite some mixed results, the positive growth in the bus segment and overall vehicle performance amidst challenges reflects potential areas of resilience within the company, warranting investor attention for future outlook.
