Ansal Properties & Infrastructure LimitedResults, 28-02-2025: Reasons for Delayed/Non-submission of Financial Results

28-02-2025 | 06:35 pm

Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Limited (APIL) is undergoing Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) following a significant default on debts amounting to ₹257.43 crores. The company has appointed an Interim Resolution Professional due to concerns over its liquidity and financial management, following repeated failures to meet repayment commitments under loan agreements. Despite making partial payments, APIL disputes the total amount claimed by the creditor, asserting only ₹83 crores is overdue as opposed to the higher figure stated.

The initiation of CIRP reflects deeper financial distress, as management has struggled with cash flow issues exacerbated by external factors, including delayed project approvals due to the General Election in India. This has raised concerns about continuity in fulfilling ongoing projects, impacting both creditor and consumer confidence in the firm.

Given these circumstances, APIL’s strategic position appears precarious, marked by a history of default and unsuccessful settlement attempts. The sentiment among investors may lean towards caution, advising a hold status pending clearer indications of operational recovery and liquidity improvements.
