Everest Industries Limited — Important, 25-02-2025: Capacity addition

Everest Buildpro Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Everest Industries, is set to invest ₹138 crore in establishing a new Fibre Cement Boards plant in Matia, Goalpara, Assam. The plant will have a capacity of 72,000 MTPA and is expected to commence operations in phases, with the first phase projected for April 2027 and the second phase by April 2031. This strategic move will enhance Everest’s footprint in Assam, a market with high demand for boards, and enable the company to serve the East region effectively. The funding for the capital expenditure will be sourced from equity and/or debt. This development reflects a positive outlook as it positions Everest Industries to strengthen its presence across India’s four geographical zones, aligning with long-term growth objectives.
