Zydus Lifesciences has secured final approval from the USFDA to manufacture Ibuprofen and Famotidine tablets (800 mg/26.6 mg), a combination drug aimed at alleviating rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis symptoms while reducing the risk of upper gastrointestinal ulcers in patients. The production will take place at Zydus’s SEZ facility in Ahmedabad. This product had reported annual sales of approximately USD 3.6 million in the U.S. as of December 2024. With this approval, Zydus has reached a total of 415 approvals out of 483 ANDA filings since FY 2003-04. This development enhances Zydus’s portfolio and could positively impact revenue, reflecting continued growth opportunities in the pharmaceutical market.
