Global fintech IRIS Business Services Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Goa to enhance the MSME ecosystem in the state through a Public Private Partnership. The agreement, signed by CEO S. Swaminathan alongside the Chief Minister of Goa, aims to provide data-driven technology solutions to address critical challenges facing MSMEs, especially the banking sector's reluctance to lend, highlighted by Goa's low credit deposit ratio of 26.5% compared to the national average of 75.8%.

IRIS will facilitate increased access to credit through intelligent data utilization and plans to establish an integrated compliance platform to ease the regulatory burden on businesses. The Government of Goa will support these initiatives by ensuring a favorable regulatory environment and promoting awareness of digital solutions among MSMEs, which could significantly boost operational efficiencies and financial inclusion in the sector.
