Uno Minda Limited has approved the acquisition of an additional 49.90% equity stake in its subsidiary, UnoMinda EV Systems Private Limited (UMEVS), from FRIWO Geratebau GmbH for approximately ₹195 Crore. This move will elevate UMEVS to a wholly-owned subsidiary, consolidating Uno Minda's position in the electric vehicle sector. The acquisition includes key e-drive technologies, intellectual property, and an R&D team, enabling enhanced capabilities in electric powertrain solutions for two and three-wheeler vehicles.
