Lokesh Machines LimitedImportant, 14-02-2025: Financial Result Updates

14-02-2025 | 04:43 pm

Lokesh Machines Limited reported a challenging quarter for the period ending December 31, 2024. Total revenue from operations decreased by 38.93% to ₹51.79 crores compared to ₹86.49 crores in the same quarter last year. This decline may be attributed to reduced demand in the machinery division, highlighting possible market contraction or operational challenges.

The company recorded a net loss of ₹4.10 crores, a significant drop from a profit of ₹5.11 crores in the previous year, with earnings per share (EPS) reflecting this downturn at ₹(2.14), compared to ₹2.85 previously. The increased operational costs, particularly in materials consumed (down 29.59% to ₹30.90 crores), and expenses associated with employee benefits led to heightened pressure on margins, as total expenses rose to ₹58.27 crores.

Despite the negative performance, the balance sheet remains relatively healthy. The increase in the capital employed indicates ongoing investment in both segments, further supporting long-term growth potential. Furthermore, the company has taken steps to address prior sanctions, which could mitigate future risks and improve market perception.

In light of the current financial results and cost management, the outlook seems cautious. Investors may consider holding their positions, assessing how the company navigates challenges in demand and operational efficiency moving forward.
