Godfrey Phillips India Limited reported its financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024. Total consolidated revenue from operations surged to ₹4987.75 crore, reflecting a growth of approximately 21.5% year-over-year, driven primarily by strong demand in the cigarette segment and market expansions.

Net profit for the quarter reached ₹315.84 crore, marking an increase from ₹248.31 crore in the corresponding period last year, resulting in an EPS of ₹60.95. Factors contributing to this profitability include operational efficiencies and better cost management despite rising operational costs.

Operational costs amounted to ₹1567.75 crore, up from ₹1415.89 crore, primarily due to increased input costs and employee benefits, impacting cost efficiency but being managed effectively. The company continues to maintain a healthy balance sheet with total assets valued at ₹6465.14 crore and liabilities at ₹1718.09 crore, indicating solid financial stability.

Looking ahead, the strategic focus appears to center on cost control and innovation within the core tobacco business while managing the impact of diminishing operations in the retail segment. Given the strong financial performance and growth outlook, this presents an attractive opportunity, suggesting a 'buy' perspective for retail investors.
