Carborundum Universal’s latest financial results indicate a solid performance for Q3 FY25, with standalone sales reaching ₹728 Crore, marking a 15% increase year-on-year, driven primarily by the Ceramics and Electrominerals segments. The company reported a profit after tax of ₹81 Crore, slightly up from ₹80.2 Crore during the same quarter last year. Consolidated sales also performed well, totaling ₹1,241 Crore, reflecting a growth of 9.8% year-on-year, although the profit after tax was impacted by an exceptional charge related to a Russian subsidiary, bringing it down to ₹35 Crore.

In terms of dividends, the Board declared an interim dividend of ₹1.50 per share (150% of the face value). The strong growth trajectory, particularly in the Ceramics sector, signals a positive outlook for Carborundum Universal, while ongoing challenges with international operations warrant close monitoring. With a low debt-equity ratio of 0.03 and increased capital expenditure of ₹202 Crore, the company is well-positioned for strategic growth opportunities moving forward.
