Laxmi Goldorna House Limited — Important, 12-02-2025: Financial Result Updates
Laxmi Goldorna House Limited reported its standalone financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024.
Total income for the quarter stood at ₹2,216.65 crore, reflecting a year-over-year decline of approximately 17.7% compared to ₹2,694.78 crore in the same quarter last year. The decrease in revenue can be attributed to lower demand in both the gold sector and real estate, areas that had previously seen robust growth.
On the profitability front, the net profit for the quarter was ₹353.78 crore, a significant increase from ₹219.84 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, resulting in an earnings per share (EPS) of ₹1.69. The improvement in profitability is mainly linked to effective cost management, where total expenses reduced to ₹1,731.75 crore, down from ₹2,234.11 crore a year ago, driven by decreased material costs and operational efficiencies.
Operational costs saw a reduction of around 22.5% due to tighter management of resources and a fall in costs associated with materials—down to ₹2,894.18 crore from ₹2,461.79 crore in the prior year.
The company’s balance sheet remains stable, with a healthy capital employed across segments. There have also been changes in senior management, with the resignation of the CFO and the appointment of a new CFO effective February 13, 2025, suggesting a focus on stabilizing leadership during this transitional phase.
Overall, while revenue growth is currently a challenge, enhanced profitability and cost control measures indicate a positive trajectory. Given these factors, maintaining or accumulating shares could be advantageous as the company navigates its current landscape.
