Shree Renuka Sugars Limited — Updates, 12-02-2025: Press Release
Shree Renuka Sugars Limited (SRSL) has reported steady growth in its operations for the nine months ended December 31, 2024. Consolidated total income increased by 4% to ₹82,883 Cr, while standalone revenue rose by 2% to ₹78,395 Cr. However, EBITDA faced a 10% decline, with consolidated figures at ₹4,268 Cr and standalone at ₹4,306 Cr, primarily due to lower domestic and international sugar prices impacting inventory valuation.
Domestic sugar volumes saw a notable 30% increase to 322K MT, and refinery sales increased by 5% to 1,080K MT, though sales realization dropped by 9%. Ethanol despatches were affected by policy changes, down to 9.4 Cr litres from 11.8 Cr litres. Management notes that while external challenges continue, including delayed sugar season commencement and regulatory issues, the recent government allowance for sugar exports may support future pricing improvements. Overall, despite current headwinds, SRSL maintains a positive outlook, focusing on operational resilience.
