Vibhor Steel Tubes LimitedCredit Ratings, 12-02-2025: Credit Rating- Revision

12-02-2025 | 02:40 pm

Vibhor Steel Tubes Ltd. has announced a board meeting to discuss its financial results for the quarter and half-year. The consolidated financials reflect total operating income of ₹1,072.71 crore, a decline from ₹1,113.13 crore in the previous year, resulting in a negative revenue growth of approximately 3.6%. This drop can be attributed to decreased realizations despite an increase in sales volume.

Net profit for the year was reported at ₹17.72 crore, down from ₹21.07 crore in the prior year, marking a year-over-year decrease of about 16.7%. Consequently, EPS is calculated at ₹2.32. The modest decline in profitability was influenced by rising operational costs amid volatile raw material prices, leading to a PBILDT margin reduction from 4.10% to 4.54%. Notably, in the 9MFY25 period, PBILDT fell to ₹26.32 crore, indicating challenging market conditions.

Operational costs increased, further impacting margins, reflecting pressures in the competitive ERW pipe manufacturing sector. The overall gearing improved significantly to 0.80 from 1.63, indicating a strengthened capital structure aided by successful IPO proceeds. Cash flow from operations remains a concern, reported at a negative ₹4.93 crore.

Strategically, the company is focused on enhancing its market presence with plans for debt-funded capital expenditure in Odisha to capitalize on regional demand. Overall, while the financial decline poses challenges, the outlook remains stable, given the company's operational strategies and market position.

Investor insight suggests a cautious stance, advising observation of cost management and revenue recovery potential before making investment decisions.
