TVS Motor Company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Karnataka to establish a global capability center in the state and expand its operations in Mysuru. The company plans to invest Rs. 2,000 crore over the next five years for this initiative, which includes building a test track and new office infrastructure. Managing Director Sudarshan Venu emphasized the center’s aim to attract top talent and innovation, contributing significantly to the development of next-generation vehicles. Currently, the Mysuru facility employs over 3,500 people with an annual production capacity of 1.5 million vehicles, generating substantial export revenues of over Rs. 1,200 crore. This expansion is expected to double both export and overall revenue from Mysuru operations, enhancing TVS Motor's position as a leader in the two-wheeler segment.
