11-02-2025 | 06:42 pm

Consolidated financial results for Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited show a revenue from operations of ₹1,02,941 crore, marking a year-over-year increase of approximately 4% compared to ₹99,073 crore for the previous quarter. This growth could be attributed to increased demand for chemical products and enhanced operational efficiencies.

Net profit for the quarter stands at ₹855 crore, a notable improvement from a loss of ₹8,786 crore in the same period last year. Earnings Per Share (EPS) is reported at ₹1.16, up from a loss of ₹11.56 in the previous year, indicating a strong rebound in profitability driven by better cost management and higher sales volumes.

Total expenses rose to ₹1,04,012 crore, reflecting a 1.3% increase from ₹1,02,702 crore in the prior quarter. The main drivers behind the expense increase included higher costs of materials consumed and employee-related expenses, which went up by around 7% and 3%, respectively. Despite this, the company has managed operational costs more effectively compared to previous quarters.

The balance sheet appears robust, with equity excluding revaluation reserves at ₹6,27,793 crore, indicating strong shareholder equity. The company continues to exhibit a strategic focus on innovation and market expansion.

Based on current performance, investors might consider holding their position, as there are promising trends in profitability and operational efficiency, yet attention should be given to rising cost pressures.
