The order comes after Bajaj Allianz decided to withdraw its revision petitions, leading to the disposal of the matter in favor of the company. The issue originally stemmed from a claim made by GP Petroleums concerning a shortage of oil and materials imported from various countries, which was initially repudiated by Bajaj Allianz in 2011. Since then, the company has successfully navigated lower courts to secure favorable rulings. Currently, GP Petroleums is pursuing execution petitions to recover its insurance claims, estimated at around Rs. 2 crores, including interest. This resolution bodes well for the company's financial recovery and reflects an improved risk profile moving forward.
