Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has received a Letter of Intent (LOI) from Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) for the Steam Generator Island Package for the 2x660 MW Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station Phase-II project in Purulia district, West Bengal. The project involves extensive supply, erection, testing, and commissioning work for steam generators, auxiliaries, ESP, FGD systems, and ash handling systems, along with associated civil works. This domestic contract, resulting from international competitive bidding, is valued at approximately ₹6,200 crore excluding taxes and duties, with a planned execution period of 48 to 52 months.
