Biocon Foundation has launched a public art project entitled ‘Pillars of Bengaluru,’ showcasing vibrant Channapatna art on over 50 metro pillars between Huskur Gate and Biocon Hebbagodi Metro Station. This initiative celebrates the everyday champions of Bengaluru, including flower sellers, doctors, and IT professionals, transforming the elevated corridor into a cultural space. It emphasizes the importance of individuals who contribute to the city’s identity and functionality.
Additionally, Biocon Foundation has contributed Rs. 65 crore towards the construction of the Hebbagodi Metro station, aiming to enhance sustainable urban mobility. This project is part of the larger Yellow Line connecting R.V. Road with Bommasandra, which will improve transport efficiency and reduce traffic congestion on Hosur Road, positively impacting the environment.
As a CSR arm, Biocon Foundation has a long-standing commitment to social and economic inclusion, supporting various initiatives across healthcare, education, and civic infrastructure.
