Net sales for Novelis in Q3 FY25 reached $4.1 billion, a 4% increase compared to Q3 FY24, primarily driven by sustained demand for beverage packaging despite slower performance in specialty products and automotive shipments. Total rolled product shipments were 904 kilotonnes, slightly down from 910 kilotonnes year-over-year. Adjusted EBITDA fell 19% to $367 million, with adjusted EBITDA per tonne also declining 19% to $406, influenced largely by higher scrap aluminum prices and an unfavorable product mix.

The company's net income attributable to common shareholders declined 9% to $110 million, while excluding special items, net income dropped 32% to $119 million. The ongoing strategic initiatives include advancing projects such as the greenfield rolling and recycling plant in Bay Minette, which is on track for commissioning in late 2026. Despite current pressures, Novelis anticipates improved performance in Q4 FY25, supported by favorable seasonality and contract pricing dynamics. Investors should monitor developments closely, considering the positive outlook tied to strong demand for sustainable aluminum solutions.
