Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) delivered a strong performance for Q3 and the first nine months of FY 2024-25, with operating revenue reaching ₹1,626 Cr, a 42% increase year-on-year, driven by a boost in DAP trading. Total income for Q3 was ₹2,811 Cr, with a profit before tax of ₹153 Cr and a profit after tax of ₹119 Cr. Subsidy income also rose significantly, contributing to a positive operating EBITDA of ₹149 Cr.
The company's fertilizer production increased by 23% and sales volume grew by 25% compared to the same quarter last year. Despite challenges such as fluctuating input costs and decreasing subsidies for P&K fertilizers, GSFC's operational efficiency improved, evidenced by a rise in operating profit to ₹555 Cr for nine months. Looking ahead, the company is focusing on optimizing sales and managing stock levels for the Kharif season while navigating challenges from global supply conditions. The ongoing expansion projects, including a solar power initiative and capacity upgrades, are expected to strengthen its market position and growth trajectory. Positive dynamics in the agricultural sector indicate potential for further growth.
