Sarda Energy & Minerals Limited (SEML) reported strong financial performance for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024. Consolidated revenue from operations reached ₹1,319 Cr, up 14% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) and 43% year-on-year (YoY), with a nine-month total of ₹3,404 Cr, reflecting a 14% increase YoY. Operating EBITDA rose by 15% QoQ to ₹381 Cr, and by 96% YoY, totaling ₹973 Cr for the nine months, a 52% YoY increase. However, profit before tax (PBT) decreased by 18% QoQ to ₹226 Cr, but was up 58% YoY, resulting in a nine-month PBT of ₹757 Cr, a 39% YoY rise. Production highlights showed mixed results; iron ore pellet output saw a slight decline QoQ, while sponge iron production increased by 7%. Power generation from hydro plants rose 25% YoY, reflecting positive seasonal trends. SEML's acquisition of SKS Power Generation has positively impacted revenues, although production of certain segments faced challenges due to demand fluctuations.
