YES Bank has made a further investment of INR 1.07 crore in its subsidiary, YES Securities (India) Limited (YSIL), through the allotment of 1,80,622 equity shares at a premium of INR 49.28 per share. This investment is part of a rights issue aimed at bolstering YSIL’s operational capabilities, particularly in maintaining adequate margins with stock exchanges for seamless client trade execution and enhancing access to margin trading facilities.
As a comprehensive capital markets intermediary, YSIL offers retail and institutional broking services and is registered with SEBI as a stockbroker. In FY 2023-24, YSIL reported a turnover of INR 271.74 crore, demonstrating a positive growth trajectory over previous years. With this investment, YES Bank will hold approximately 99.38% of YSIL's paid-up capital, strengthening its control and positioning within the financial services sector. Investors should keep an eye on this development as it could significantly enhance YES Bank's strategic foothold in the capital markets.
