HT Media Limited will convert its outstanding loan of INR 212 crore to Next Radio Limited (NRL), a step-down subsidiary, into equity shares. This conversion will yield 21.2 crore new shares at INR 10 each, increasing HT Media's stake in NRL from 48.6% to 86.47%. The strategic move is intended to preserve the company’s investment and ensure NRL meets regulatory requirements for its radio licenses due to previous uncertainties over debt repayment. Following this change, NRL will operate as a direct subsidiary under HT Media.
