NAVA LIMITEDImportant, 07-02-2025: Financial Result Updates

07-02-2025 | 01:30 pm

Nava Limited's consolidated financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024, show a mixed performance. Total revenue reached ₹84,249.38 crore, reflecting a year-over-year decline of 9.4%. Key segments such as Energy remain robust, with revenue contribution of ₹83,265.22 crore, but Ferro Alloys reported a significant drop, indicating market challenges and demand fluctuations.

Net profit from continuing operations stood at ₹31,234.63 crore, marking a decline of 21.1% year-over-year. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the period is ₹32.49, which mirrors challenges in operational profitability due to heightened operational costs and a decrease in sales volume in certain segments.

Operational costs increased by 6.7% primarily due to elevated inputs and inflationary pressures. These rising costs signify a need for improved cost management strategies moving forward.

Nava's balance sheet remains solid, with total assets of ₹1,187,163.89 crore, although the significant overdue receivables from Maamba Energy Limited, amounting to ₹137,478.46 crore, pose a risk. The company's financial outlook indicates a continued focus on expanding its energy segment, alongside strategic acquisitions, including a recent increase in its stake in Maamba Energy.

Given these insights, considering the revenue challenges and mixed profitability outlook, a cautious stance is warranted—suggesting a "hold" for retail investors until clearer recovery signals and improved operational efficiencies are demonstrated.
