JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Amazon for 180 MW of wind power. This agreement boosts the company's renewable energy Commercial and Industrial (C&I) capacity to 4.0 GW, including 2.7 GW from JSW's captive capacity and 1.3 GW from third parties. The C&I portfolio features prominent clients such as Amazon, DCM Shriram Ltd, and Indus Towers Ltd., highlighting the company's strategic focus on sustainable energy.
Currently, JSW Energy boasts an operational generation capacity of 8.2 GW across thermal, hydro, and renewable sources, along with a locked-in generation capacity of 30 GW and 16.3 GWh of energy storage capacity. The company intends to scale to 20 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of storage significantly before 2030, reinforcing a positive outlook for growth and sustainability in India's power sector.
