Solar Industries India Limited — New Orders, 06-02-2025: Bagging/Receiving of orders/contracts

The Ministry of Defence has awarded Economic Explosive Limited (EEL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Solar Industries India Limited, a significant order worth INR 6,084 Crores for the supply of Area Denial Munition (ADM) Type-1 (DPICM) and High Explosive Pre Fragmented (HEPF) Mk-1 (Enhanced) rockets for the PINAKA Multiple Launcher Rocket System (MLRS). This marks the largest contract in the history of the Solar Group and highlights EEL's role as the production agency nominated by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for all variations of the Pinaka Rocket System.

The contract is expected to be executed over a period of 8 to 15 years, with 86% of it to be completed within the first 10 years. This development not only promises substantial revenue growth in defense products but also enhances the company's position in indigenous defense manufacturing, aligning with India's Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan initiative. Investors should view this as a positive outlook, as it opens new avenues for growth in the defense sector.
