06-02-2025 | 08:06 pm

Uniparts India Ltd. has announced a board meeting where the consolidated financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024, were approved.

Total consolidated revenue from operations for the quarter stood at ₹2,083.08 crore, representing a year-over-year decline of 19.6%. The decrease can be attributed to a slowdown in demand within the off-highway vehicle sector, highlighting challenges in market conditions.

Net profit for the period was ₹191.38 crore, down 26.3% compared to the same quarter last year. This decline in profitability is likely influenced by higher operational costs, including an increase in employee benefits expense and material costs, which saw a year-over-year increase of 30.1% and 13.4% respectively. The Earnings Per Share (EPS) for the quarter is ₹4.24.

Operational costs totaled ₹1,888.66 crore, marking a 5.8% decrease from the prior quarter as the company continues to focus on cost control measures. However, the year-on-year comparison indicates a 29.5% increase, reflecting ongoing challenges in cost management.

On the balance sheet, the company reported a net worth of ₹8,997.62 crore, indicating healthy capitalization and liquidity ratios. The cash flow implications are positive, suggesting that Uniparts remains capable of meeting its short-term obligations.

Investors might consider a hold position as the company navigates current market challenges. The decline in revenues and profit margins necessitates close monitoring, but effective cost management may enhance operational resilience in the near term.
