NTPC Green Energy Limited — Important, 06-02-2025: General Updates

AP NGEL HARIT AMRIT LIMITED has been incorporated as a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC Green Energy Limited and the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh. This new entity is focused on significant renewable energy initiatives, including the development of solar, wind, and hybrid projects with a total capacity of up to 25 GW, along with the production of green hydrogen at a rate of 0.5 MMTPA and related derivatives. Plans also involve developing pump hydro projects with a capacity of up to 10 GW in strategically identified locations within the state. The joint venture is supported by prior governmental approvals from the Ministry of Power and will proceed with a cash consideration for equity share capital, with NTPC Green Energy subscribing to 50,000 equity shares at a face value of ₹10 each. This venture is expected to enhance the company’s position in the rapidly growing renewable energy sector and represents a strategic opportunity for growth.
