JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd. has announced a board meeting to approve the acquisition of a 26% equity stake in STLC RE Ltd., a solar power generation company. The total CAPEX for the associated 9MW solar project will be approximately ₹40 crore, with JK Lakshmi's investment limited to ₹3.50 crore. This strategic move aims to secure solar power at competitive rates for 25 years, enhancing energy efficiency and positioning the company favorably in the renewable energy sector. STLC will become an associate entity following the acquisition, which is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025.
