MRF's consolidated total income rose 13.76%, reaching ₹7,098.90 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024, compared to ₹6,240.08 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. However, profit before tax declined to ₹424.18 crore, down from ₹682.41 crore year-over-year. After accounting for a tax provision of ₹108.72 crore, the net profit for the quarter fell to ₹315.46 crore, down from ₹509.71 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company's growth was primarily driven by increases in replacement sales, institutional sales, and exports, supported by a robust export performance. Nevertheless, MRF faced rising input costs due to elevated commodity prices, particularly in natural rubber and crude oil-derived materials, exacerbated by a stronger US dollar. The Board has declared a second interim dividend of ₹3 per share, offering a 30% dividend yield for the year ending March 31, 2025. Investors should observe the challenging cost environment as a potential risk going forward.
