NLC India Limited has successfully secured the New Patrapara South Coal Mine in Angul, Odisha, following a recent e-auction conducted by the Ministry of Coal. The Coal Mine Development and Production Agreement (CMDPA) was finalized with the Ministry of Coal, marking an important milestone for the company. The mine boasts substantial geological reserves of approximately 720.87 million tonnes, with a projected peak production capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum. This marks NLCIL's third commercial coal mine and contributes significantly to its commitment of exceeding 100 million tonnes of mining capacity as outlined in its Corporate Plan 2030. This strategic expansion enhances the company's operational capacity and positions it positively for future growth.
