Tata Chemicals Limited — Updates, 03-02-2025: Press Release
Consolidated income from operations for the quarter ended December 2024 was ₹ 3,590 Cr, down 4% from ₹ 3,730 Cr in Q3FY24. EBITDA decreased 20% to ₹ 434 Cr from ₹ 542 Cr in the previous year. Profit After Tax (PAT) from continuing operations was ₹ 49 Cr, significantly lower than ₹ 194 Cr in Q3FY24. Higher fixed costs in the US due to a plant outage and decreased Soda Ash pricing impacted performance. On a standalone basis, revenue rose 7% to ₹ 1,166 Cr with EBITDA at ₹ 209 Cr, reflecting a slight increase. However, standalone PAT fell 37% to ₹ 72 Cr. Gross and net debt rose to ₹ 6,722 Cr and ₹ 5,329 Cr, respectively, driven by lower EBITDA and increased working capital needs. The company continues expansion efforts, with a 70 KTPA Pharma Salt plant recently commissioned in the UK. Overall, while short-term challenges persist, there’s a positive outlook for long-term recovery and growth.
