Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited — Updates, 03-02-2025: Press Release

Net Sales for Alembic Pharmaceuticals increased by 4% to Rs. 1,693 Crores in Q3 FY25, with a Profit Before Tax of Rs. 179 Crores and a Net Profit of Rs. 138 Crores. EBITDA rose by 1% to Rs. 271 Crores, maintaining an EBITDA Margin of 16%. Despite challenges in the acute segment, key therapeutic areas in the specialty business performed well, supported by automation and AI enhancements aimed at improving operational efficiency.

The India Branded Business grew by 3% to Rs. 614 Crores, driven by a 22% surge in the Animal Health segment, while Specialty therapies saw a 6% increase. On the international front, US Generics returned a 10% growth to Rs. 521 Crores, complemented by two product launches and 7 ANDA approvals. The Ex-US Generics also grew by 10% to Rs. 299 Crores. However, the API segment faced pricing pressures, with revenues declining by 10% to Rs. 259 Crores. The outlook remains cautiously optimistic, considering the ongoing expansion in key markets and product lines.
