CreditAccess Grameen Limited has secured a USD 50 million commitment from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to enhance financial inclusion for underserved microentrepreneurs, particularly women in agriculture and related sectors. This funding aims to bridge the significant financing gap faced by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in India, which is estimated at USD 333 billion, primarily affecting small enterprises. The investment will enable CA Grameen to reach 3-4 million additional women borrowers over the project's lifecycle.

The commitment is aligned with CA Grameen's strategy to diversify its funding sources, aiming for 25%-30% of funds from foreign sources by FY28. With a focus on responsible finance, the partnership with IFC is expected to bolster inclusive growth by empowering microentrepreneurs and improving access to credit in rural areas. CA Grameen's strong market presence—operating in 422 districts across 16 states—positions it as a leader in the microfinance sector, strategically enhancing its asset liability management and resilience against market fluctuations.
