Tata Motors reported total sales of 80,304 units in January 2025, a decline from 86,125 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales accounted for 78,159 units, down 7% year-on-year.

In the commercial vehicle segment, total domestic sales reached 30,083 units, with differentiated performance across categories: HCV trucks grew 1% to 8,990 units, while ILMCV trucks saw a 12% increase to 5,298 units. However, SCV cargo and pickups dropped by 15% to 11,213 units.

Passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, totaled 48,316 units, marking an 11% decrease from January 2024. The domestic segment for passenger vehicles, which includes EVs, declined by 10% to 48,076 units, with electric vehicle sales down 25% to 5,240 units.
