Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (GMDC) recorded significant growth in Q3FY25, achieving its highest-ever revenue from operations at ₹655 crore, marking a 16% increase from ₹565 crore in Q3FY24. The company's EBITDA rose 15% to ₹207 crore compared to ₹180 crore in the same period last year, while Profit Before Tax (PBT) climbed 12% to ₹180 crore versus ₹161 crore in Q3FY24, making it the third-highest PBT for the company over the past nine months.
Sales performance was notable with total lignite sales reaching 18.71 lakh MT, an increase of 19% from 15.68 lakh MT in Q3FY24. The sales value of lignite was ₹601 crore, up 16% year-on-year, while bauxite sales surged 80% to ₹28 crore, from ₹15 crore in the previous year, with sales volume rising from 0.53 lakh MT to 1.28 lakh MT.
The management views these results positively, citing effective market demand and operational efficiency. Ongoing projects, particularly in Odisha, are expected to bolster GMDC's sustainable growth and long-term value creation.
