GAIL (India) Limited has significantly enlarged its Start-up Investment Fund from 100 Cr to 500 Cr, aimed at enhancing innovation and supporting the growth of emerging businesses in India’s start-up ecosystem. This initiative will focus on sectors such as clean energy, renewables, energy storage, electric mobility, and digital transformation, aligning with the Indian government's push for self-reliance. Shri Sandeep Kumar Gupta, C&MD of GAIL, emphasized the company's commitment to the Start-Up India Mission and expressed optimism that the funded start-ups will evolve into successful enterprises contributing to the national vision of a "Start-up Nation." Since its inception of the 'Pankh' initiative in July 2017, GAIL has invested in 36 start-ups across various domains. This expansion of funding signals a positive outlook for innovation and sustainability within India's energy and technology sectors.
