Sundaram Clayton Limited (SCL) has commenced operations at its new mega die-casting facility in Thervoy Kandigai, near Chennai, aimed at producing precision aluminium components for next-generation automotive applications, including solutions for electric vehicles. This facility is one of India's largest and includes advanced digital smart factory capabilities, expected to enhance efficiency and productivity.

Additionally, SCL has strengthened its US operations with the commissioning of a 4,400-ton die-casting machine, expanding its capability to serve the North American market.

In its latest quarterly results, standalone EBITDA has improved to 14.7%, a quarter-on-quarter increase of 1.3%, while consolidated EBITDA rose to 7.8%, reflecting a 4.4% gain from the previous quarter. These developments position SCL favorably within the automotive die-casting industry, signaling a positive outlook as it drives innovation and sustainability in its operations.
