31-01-2025 | 04:54 pm

For the quarter ended December 31, 2024, Texmaco Infrastructure & Holdings Ltd. reported consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,254.30 crore, marking a year-over-year increase of approximately 0.7%. This growth can be attributed to heightened demand in the real estate and mini hydroelectric segments, which remain critical drivers of revenue.

Net profit after tax for the period stood at a loss of ₹830.76 crore compared to a profit of ₹288.95 crore in the same quarter last year. The considerable decline in profitability was influenced by a significant deferred tax expense of ₹1,220.38 crore, reflecting the implications of recent regulatory changes. Consequently, Earnings Per Share (EPS) was reported at (₹0.65), versus ₹0.22 in the prior year.

Operational costs experienced an increase, primarily due to higher employee benefits and finance costs, which rose by 7.5% and 6.2%, respectively. This underscores ongoing challenges in cost management, highlighting areas that may need more focused attention in the upcoming periods.

The balance sheet remains reasonably robust, with total assets at ₹1,80,643.14 crore and a slight increase in total liabilities to ₹13,678.95 crore. This positions the company to navigate future growth avenues while addressing the challenges related to cash flow and profitability.

In terms of strategic outlook, Texmaco's emphasis on optimizing operational efficiencies and exploring new growth avenues will be crucial amidst fluctuating market conditions. The current financial performance suggests a cautious approach for investors, leaning towards a hold stance with close monitoring of upcoming developments.
