Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO), a subsidiary of Vedanta, has successfully produced its first slab from the debottlenecking project at its Rolled Products facility, with full ramp-up anticipated in the coming months. This project will double the production capacity of Rolled Products from 50 KTPA to 100 KTPA, along with an additional 30 KTPA of Aluminium Silicon products and 50 KTPA of slabs. This expansion positions BALCO as the second-largest rolled products capacity in India, enhancing its offering in the high premium product segment. The company aims to focus on key sectors such as high-end packaging, consumer durables, electrical components, and building & construction, contributing to national projects and indicating a positive outlook for future growth and market positioning.
