Western Carriers (India) Ltd has secured a significant work order valued at Rs. 170 crores from Hindustan Zinc Limited for the transportation of finished goods, specifically zinc and lead ingots, from various smelting plants in Rajasthan and Uttarakhand to major ports and customer sites across India. This four-year contract encompasses both domestic and export movement, underscoring the trust Hindustan Zinc, a leading integrated Zinc-Lead-Silver producer, has in Western Carriers’ logistics capabilities.
CEO Kanishka Sethia expressed enthusiasm regarding this partnership, highlighting the company’s commitment to providing efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions. With a robust network of over 50 branch locations and multiple warehouses, Western Carriers is well-positioned to enhance its service offerings across the nation. As reported for H1FY25, the company generated revenues of Rs. 854 crores with a PAT of Rs. 37 crores, indicating a strong financial performance. This order not only boosts operational capacity but also signals positive growth potential in the logistics sector.
