Tata Steel reported consolidated EBITDA of ₹19,040 crores for the first nine months of the financial year, reflecting a 14% year-on-year improvement. Consolidated revenues for this period were ₹1,62,324 crores, with revenues for the October-December quarter at ₹53,648 crores and EBITDA of ₹5,994 crores, indicating an EBITDA margin of approximately 11%. India's performance was solid, generating ₹32,930 crores in revenue and an EBITDA margin of 24%, translating to ₹7,921 crores. The company invested ₹3,868 crores in capital expenditure during the quarter, contributing to a net debt reduction to ₹85,800 crores. Tata Steel's strong liquidity position stands at ₹28,219 crores, including cash and cash equivalents of ₹13,119 crores.

Looking ahead, the new 5 MTPA blast furnace at Kalinganagar is ramping up operations and the commissioning of a Continuous Annealing Line is expected to bolster future production. However, challenges persist in the UK due to subdued demand, although operational changes are underway to improve performance. Investors should watch closely as Tata Steel focuses on enhancing its cost structure and sustainability initiatives amidst a challenging market environment.
