27-01-2025 | 07:31 pm

Mahindra Logistics Limited reported consolidated financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2024.

Total revenue from operations reached ₹1,594.20 crore, reflecting a growth of approximately 14.1% year-over-year, driven by enhanced demand within supply chain management and operational efficiencies.

Despite the revenue growth, the company faced a net loss of ₹7.23 crore during the quarter, compared to a loss of ₹16.40 crore in the same quarter last year. The loss was influenced by increased operating expenses, which amounted to ₹1,381.31 crore, up from ₹1,194.68 crore, marking a 15.6% rise. The operating profit margins showed a contraction, indicative of challenging cost management in the current environment.

The balance sheet portrayed a debt-equity ratio of 0.96, underscoring a stable financial structure that could allow strategic investments despite prevailing losses. The current ratio stood at a healthy 0.90, illustrating the company's capacity to meet short-term liabilities.

In terms of outlook, Mahindra Logistics seems poised to streamline costs and focus on expanding its service offerings, particularly with the recent joint venture established with Seino Holdings, aimed at providing logistics services to Japanese automotive companies in India.

For investors, with a potential recovery in profitability expected in subsequent quarters through improved operational efficiencies and strategic partnerships, this might be viewed as a hold opportunity while monitoring financial performance closely.
