TP Solar Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power, has secured a significant contract valued at ₹ 455 crore to supply 300 MWp of ALMM-certified solar modules to the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited for the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana 2.0 project. This win enhances TP Solar's standing as a key supplier in the Indian solar market and aligns with MSPGCL's larger 750 MWp tender awarded after a competitive e-Reverse Auction process.
Operating India's largest solar cell and module manufacturing facility in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, TP Solar boasts a production capacity of 4.3 GW for both cells and modules. Tata Power has invested approximately ₹ 4,300 crore in this modern plant, showcasing a commitment to local manufacturing and the solar value chain.
