Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited — Updates, 27-01-2025: Press Release
Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd. has reported its financial performance for the quarter and nine months ending December 31, 2024. For Q3 FY25, the company achieved a profit before tax (PBT) of ₹15.86 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of ₹10.73 crore, reflecting improvements from ₹14.17 crore PBT and ₹9.81 crore PAT in Q3 FY24. Total income for Q3 FY25 was ₹316.39 crore, slightly lower than ₹318.96 crore in Q3 FY24.
The company sold 4.99 lakh quintals of sugar in Q3 FY25, marginally up from 4.94 lakh quintals in the previous year, yet sales dropped for the nine-month period. Sugar prices have increased from below ₹3,800 to between ₹3,900 and ₹3,950 per quintal, aided by government approvals for sugar exports, positively influencing cash flows and domestic prices.
The company holds an optimistic outlook, anticipating improved operational efficiency due to resumed crushing activities and the ethanol blending program, targeting strong performance in future seasons amid environmental challenges.
